BRCA 10IC & GT8

In this Section we run Two Classes of cars, one being 1/10 IC circuit cars with a 2.11cc engine. These cars are manufactured by Xray, Serpent, Mugen and Shepherd and are available from many model shops in the UK. There are other makes available, including Capricorn from Italy and Infinity from Japan.

The other class we run is for GT8 on road circuit cars, running GT type bodies. GT8 cars larger than the 1/10^th and manufacturers such as Xray, Serpent and Capricorn produce GT8 cars.

Both classes run on purpose built tarmac tracks around the UK.

Our National championship usually runs from April until September, normally consisting of one race per month. When the Nationals are not running, there are still Club meetings you can enter, so there’s no shortage of opportunities to race.

Race Procedure

Our National races are held over two days. Saturdays are for open practice starting at 09.00hrs and running until 18.00hrs, unless a local restriction applies. Sunday is Race Day. If for any reason you can’t make the Saturday, there’s a free practice session for you on the Sunday. Then we start racing. The first runs are Qualifying sessions, followed by the Finals.

Once the day’s racing has concluded, trophies are presented.

Opportunities to represent the country are also available in the form of the annual European Championships and the World Championships which is hosted every other year.
